Towed

So I'm on my last delivery, excited to go home, and I stop off at the apartment complex, pull over to the side, get out, and head up to the apartment that ordered the pizza. I come back to where my car should be and it is not there. I had only been gone fore a few minutes to I assumed that it was stolen. After a few calls to managers I call the cops. After much anguish in dealing with an emergency service (waiting on hold, unhelpful operators, stupid people) I finally find out that my car was not stolen, but towed.

Now you might ask yourself what kind of a dick would tow a delivery car, mid delivery, with the topper on the car. These kinds of people... They would have had to literally watch me get out of my car and walk away, swoop in, hook up my car and tow it away within 2 minutes and be off with my car with no trace.

After much angst I finally get their phone number and call them. I inquire as to my car and they tell me that I wont be able to get it back until today (Monday morning, it was towed Saturday night, that's 2 days without my car) and that "Maybe I shouldn't park it where I shouldn't park" to which I replied, "Maybe you shouldn't tow a pizza car, dick!" and hung up. Ya, ya, ya... not smart to piss of the tow guy but I had literally been dealing with this crap for over 2 hours straight, stood out in the cold for most of it due to these morons, so I'm revered a tad bit of resentment. I then received a call from a private number, which have no idea who it could have been from, all I heard was "Prick" and they hung up. That was just the perfect end to the most perfectest day ever.

Now it's probably not going to hurt Afficient Towing at all by writing this rant. Just remember next time whatever you ordered doesn't get there, it's because of these dicks.

Sucks about your car Vance.

I spent my whole day Sunday at a Magic Prerelease for their new set. It was a long day and in the end, I ended up with a nice prebuilt deck and a bunch of cards (not quite as many nice ones as I would have liked). I went with a bunch of my friends and I don't think any of us will really be up to do that again. It was a long drive out to the convention center and we didn't feel like it was worth the money spent to get the cards we received. I think I'll just stick to buying a box of boosters when the new sets come out.
