Lots to say about V. I grew up, as many of us did, watching this miniseries including V: The Final Battle. (side note: I know Mr. Stipes , one of my favorite teachers from college, who worked on the original V, must shutter when he hears the "I grew up watching your stuff...") I actually own the DVD's and still watch them occupationally. Coming from a point of someone with a name starting with V it's odd the affinity you have for such things. Or hatred depending on when they hit, how popular they are and how often you hear "Hey its V for Vance..."
I have not yet seen the first episode, but I am anxiously awaiting its arrival on Hulu.

I've been playing Borderlands for the past couple of weeks and although I thoroughly enjoy it I am bothered by the fact that they haven't released a patch already. The PC version of the game has many game breaking bugs (can't launch the game, crashes, losing character save files, losing skill points, etc...) and in addition there are several areas of the interface that have all the tell tale signs of being born on a console. I don't expect everything to be fixed in some sort of miracle patch, but I would like to see a patch within the first week or so that covers all the game breaking bugs and then patches as often as possible thereafter to fix up the interface stuff. Is that really too much to ask?
Also, I got an invite to Google Wave and have been playing around with it for a few days. I really like the potential it has. I wish more of my friends had it so I could put it to use. If they can just get it optimized to run faster (and more consistently) as well as get it out to more people, I could see using this on a daily basis.
