I can't tell you fully where this idea came from. All I can really say is I was put in charge of returning the tuxes...

Interesting side note. I had no idea what a crumpet was or what it looked like. I'm a tad disappointed. I had always equated it to a scone, when it's actually more of a larger English Muffin.
