Diablo 3 has been out for a few weeks now. In general I thoroughly enjoy the game. The game is beautiful (I'm particularly impressed with the depth of feel in the backgrounds) and in general it is what I would expect Diablo 3 to be.
Although I do enjoy playing the game what I do not enjoy is the technical issues associated with it. You can make the best game ever but if it does not work you will have a LOT of pissed off players. Google "Diablo 3 lag" I dare you.
I am in act 3 of Hell with my barbarian. I would be farther but this scenario seems to happen more often then not. Suddenly everything stop, I swing my sword to a whirl of whooshing noises until I just give up, sit back and wait for my character to explode. I repeat this until my frustration with the technical issues of the game peaks, then I just log out.
It also seems that the more important it is for me not to lag, the higher the likelihood of lag is there, particularly on boss fights or fighting blue or yellow mobs, where one wrong step will get you killed... that is when you will lag.
This makes Hardcore mode extremely treacherous. I have a wizard to level 15 and the thought of continuing on this single fatality basis seems absurd. So i will stop that until Blizzard can actually figure out how to require you to play their game off of their servers without breaking their game.
I could go on for quite a while longer, but I think this will suffice for now.
