I am not talented in intellectual pursuits. What I am good at is beating my head against a rock. Some people call it persistence others may call it stubbornness but I don't simply dismiss things I don't understand. I take it all in uncomprehendingly and then take that mass of information and slowly break it down until I can start putting the pieces back together.
It's similar to the scene in the 13th Warrior where Antonio Banderas is slowly teaching himself the Nordic language by "listening". So it is with Reese, sure, when he talks it just sounds like a bunch of gibberish but if you listen, and I mean really listen you can start picking it a part and it starts to make sense.
Glad I could help.
On a totally unrelated note; I recently purchased and started playing Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn. I've only been playing it for less than a week, but the game is seriously fun and it's the first time since World of Warcraft that I'm super eager to get a chance to log on and play some more. I'd say it's worth looking into for those who need something to scratch their MMO itch.
