Welcome the the new and improved Fansati! It's been a while since I posted but this is a good point to make. So, you may have noticed much of the past chapter has been somewhat "out of focus" or "fuzzy." Here is the reason.
I have actually been drawing Fantasi since 2009. In 2011 I had a harddrive fail. My super special hard drive where I kept all my shiny trinkets like the raw forms of my comics. If you've been a long time reader of VR Comic and lets face, who hasn't, you may remember this comic blaming Reese for the whole thing.
I did not have proper back ups maintained and not only did I lose nearly 500 raw VR Comics I lost ALL of the raw files for Fantasi.
This hit me hard and for a LONG time I stopped drawing Fantasi all together. Luckily, I had been uploading them to my DA account and had non full res copies to work with. So I had to decide; redraw almost the entire chapter, or work with what I had. So, I took the lazy way out.
I had originally planned on not following the VR Comic standard of 750 pixel wide comics so when I decided at the beginning of this year to post my beloved Fantasi story in place of my standard VR comic I had to stretch the excising Fantasi pages to about twice the size, hence the fuzzy feel of the first bit of this chapter. I did take leave to redo the text so that it would be a little easier on the eyes to read though.
This comic here is the first I drew since the crash, meaning you're seeing it in all its full resolution glory, just as it's creator (me) intended. And the subsequent comics will all be the same eye candy goodness from here on out.
Needless to say, the moral of this story is... BACK YOUR SHIT UP!
