Reese and I have both had the pleasure of wearing contacts r glasses the majority of our lives. The difference is that a few years back Reese got lasik and now does not need the aid of ocular devices to see properly, and I hate him. Not long ago he came to me with the "I own my eyes now” and this comic was bore shortly after.
This comic is based on a real conversation that Vance and I had. I declared that I owned my eyes and no longer needed to fear the repo man, which then led to a morbid discussion of how that would work.
On a related note, if you are considering Lasik, I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who qualifies. I got mine done at a top of the line facility and it cost me about two grand per eye. I could have used the ads in the paper to get it done for two hundred an eye (or whatever their deals are), but I like my vision too much to risk it on discount surgery. In case you are wondering, I went from 20/800 vision to 20/15 in both eyes, so I now have better than normal vision (sounds weird, here's what that means).
