So the actual wristband I used to wear did not just poof into oblivion. It actually finally broke beyond any tape, staple, or bit of strings ability to fix. It hung tacked to a wall until the house fire, where it still did not perish. Later was placed on a shelf to life out its days in peace.
After becoming engaged I felt the purpose of this lucky trinket had served it's purpose and after wearing it daily, for many years, it was replaced shortly thereafter with my wedding ring.
This is all non important information to most, but there are those out there that will find it most interesting.
Also I did not "forget" the comic number, it's comic 181, Reese's character forgot it because he ate his information... Like a dog, eating it's own homework.
