You know this... You shove some disposables down the drain and you hear that distinguishable sound. The clitter clatter of some poor spoon who's just had enough of this spoony life. The only reason I could think of for spoons to be so self destructive would be if something happened to the dish...

The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon,
The little dog laughed to see such craft,
